Four Rope System General Layout - Central Reserve 2.5m Spacing


NOTES:

  1. Rigging screws on both pairs of ropes must not coincide within one post spacing.
  2. Coincidence between upper rope and lower rope rigging screws is acceptable.
  3. After rope tensioning, the rigging screw assembly must not be closer than 100mm to any post.
  4. Line posts are shown with concrete foundations with or without sockets (cast in situ or precast) as described in the contract.
  5. Deflection posts are to be set in concrete foundations with or without sockets.
  6. If datum line of posts is less than 1.5m from edge of paved surface rope heights are to be measured from edge of paved surface. If 1.5m or more, rope heights are to be measured from surface beneath fence - Detail 'A'.
  7. Radiused edge of posts must be presented to direction of traffic flow.
  8. Distance between any two consecutive end anchors shall be a max. of 1385m on any rope.
  9. Distance between intermediate anchor blocks must be greater than 60m.
  10. Tail rope length must ensure all rigging screws are at full fence height.
  11. Terminal threads must be greased on site prior to assembly.
  12. After assembly and during routine maintenance all fittings in anchor block pockets to be liberally coated with a protective grease.
  13. Anchor block pockets must not be back filled and shall be cleaned out during routine maintenance.
